Desert Island Disc!
But to me, Montréal is Cook's best work! Track by track, it's solid and hangs together beautifully. I may not be as indelibly stamped as some of the Jesse Cook fans here. The energy of the performance radiates throughout.

I would recommend that newcomers start with Montréal and then spin off into the various studio albums.


Jesse Cook comes alive!!
The music
comes alive and the energy is right there. If you like his CDs, this is a must.
"Closer to Madness" and "Baghdad" and "Dance of
Spring" are over the top in joyfulness. The
Samba Squad adds mega percussion. You will be
cheering along with the crowd.


Great live!
The sound quality is excellent. Started with this CD by accident from a co-worker and loved it. Lots of different "types" of guitar music. The guests vocals were wonderful. The audience really loved this performance and there are a few great surprises-like the marching band drums. Enjoy!.


Superb

As always, extraordinary skill, melody, arrangement, musical sensibility, power, and rhythm plus live magic and humor. Jesse is just great and has great musicians along with him.


Just Beautiful!
You can feel the soul of his work live! I hope he produces more live works like this one. I adore this CD! I think that Jesse Cook sounds much better live than in the studio.
