Apt Title Though there is no credit re: remastering, the set is superbly remastered and rebalanced while the longer songs (I Heard It Through The Grapevine, Suzie Q) appear as single 45 rpm edits (which suits me fine anyway!). 24 track collection of CCR's best moments courtesy Universal Singapore. The songs are classic, the sound is remarkable. It's all on a single 2008 CD and the brief notes provide great info. What more could one ask for? Surely the time has come for Concord (who now owns Fantasy) to retire Chronicles Vol. 1 & 2 and Creedence Gold and provide fans with a proper, budget priced, superb sounding 2008 anthology (like WEA did with The Doors). Yes, the individual albums all appeared in remastered form at the end of the 90s and as great SACD hybrids in the early 2000s. Yet sadly, no newly remastered anthology is available here as of this late date. Until someone does that, this collection surely serves as "The Best" of CCR.
