a lot better then critics give them credit 4
monkey house is b. I like some of the far out layered synth material as well as like the fake country stuff with horns. s. . this album and 13 tales r essential. it is just a really good album 2 play all the way thru while u clean the house or work on a project.


Not their best
This album and their previous effort, "Welcome to the Monkey House" are too Top 40 for my tastes. If you're looking for your first Dandy's CD, opt for "Dandy Warhols Come Down" instead. There was a definite sea change between their first 3, 4-5 star, CDs and these two. "Dandy's Rule, OK", "The Dandy Warhols Come Down" and "13 Tales From Urban Bohemia" are essential. This one and "Monkey House" are for completists or fanatics only.
