Great collection
enjoy!. this was a really good collection of dead milkmen songs for a new listener, but if youre a collector just interested in the unreleased songs i wouldnt bother getting the whole album.

Missing
I mean really they could've lopped off some their numerous "hits" ahem and then the collection would be complete. This is really missing "secret of life". They even made a vid. for that song. it's alwez missing when I listen to this and it would have added production value instead of alot of songs that sound lo-quality. faves: prg, camaro, nutrition, beach party vietnam!, thinnest line.

I Will Always Love the Milkmen!
It was my first experience with something other than top 40 music. I have loved the Dead Milkmen since the first time a friend borrowed me "Beelzebubba" back in junior high. it blew my mind. DM have been in constant rotation in my various audio devices ever since. This collection is the best of the best of the Milkmen, with a couple extras thrown in as filler. And they are. The CD's opening track is pure filler and I can hardly listen to it without forwarding past it. The rest of the CD, with the exception of a couple of the "previously unreleased" tracks, is far more enjoyable, and a perfect way to introduce anyone to the joys of the Dead Milkmen!!.

Everything you need from the milkmen
I was wrong, being a huge DM fan for a long time i knew what their best songs were and what should be on this album. When the Dead Milkmen first released this album i thought that it wasn't going to capture all of the work they've done over their illustrious career. I saw the track listing online a while ago and said, "wow, this is all their best songs on one cd, it looks like someone finally made a great greatest hits album!" and it's true, if you wanna get into the DM, get this one.

After listening to this, and your into the Dead Milkmen you'll want to pick up these. . .

Big Lizard in my Backyard 85'
Eat Your Paisly 86'
Bucky Fellini 87'
Beelzebubba 88'

. . . all you need from the rest of their career is on this disc.

I'm so much cooler than you
The only song I had ever heard by the band was "punk rock girl", but I said your typical hard core fan stuff like how much I liked their earlier stuff and compared them to other bands like Frankie's Weiner that no one else had heard of. Dead Milkmen were my "I'm cooler than you because I like this band" group I chose in high school. Did you have to know what you were talking about? NO, of course not. It's all about image. I formed several bands in high school that never played a show. I would put up flyers all around the school and cancel the shows the day they were supposed to go off. I would tell people the club didn't meet fire code. Girls would ask if they could sleep with me to cheer me up. There was a six month period where I fronted nine fake bands that never picked up an instrument, but I had a rock star following. That is why I'm where I am and you are where you are.
