A good start

As some may have said, the vocals in some songs aren't that great, while in others his aggression and singing can be heard clearly how it should be. Let me explain why i gave this release 3 stars, because i really do love the album, however there are a few flaws with it. The music is pretty well mixed, however i find that i need to sometimes adjust the settings on my car stereo to listen to this cd correctly like other cds.

Ok, back to the point. The electronics in this cd are simply dazzling. The layers upon layers of synths and effects, which are very original sounding, only add to this band's heavy rock backdrop. This band also puts on a good live show, and plays these songs pretty much exactly how they sound here. So expect nothing less.

If the samples turn you onto the band, i suggest buying this album. If you can't stand the vocals, well don't give up on them yet. As i said, this cd is a good start, a good debut. Their new album coming out this year, Unsaved, so far sounds like a giant leap forward in recording quality. Also, it sounds like Dearborn has improved his singing ability. I am looking forward to that. For now, check out this release, there should be something you like.

Great music, crappy vocals
Their lead singer simply sucks. If there were a version of this CD with just the music and no vocals, it would be a kickass 5-star album. It hurt me to hear him botch Send Me An Angel like he did, especially since I love the synth/bass/hard rock beats they put with it (for a truly awesome version of this song, see Eurotrash by Zeromancer). Same goes for most of the songs on this CD - They have kickass beats but that guy's voice drags it down. Even so, a good industrial rock CD, worth buying if you can get it for cheap.

Amazing...finally someone to carry the torch for industrial music has arrived....
Then I heard a couple of songs by this band on Chronix Aggression, and I was very impressed. With Marilyn Manson retiring and Nine Inch Nails not too far behind, it looked to me like industrial music was about to disappear (at least any good industrial music). I got the album and I love every single song, 10 of 10 for every song. The top tracks are Just Like You, with its mocking guitar line that is eerily like Manson and the profane lyrics, Your Fiend with the slow driving beat reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails and the overtly sexual lyrics, and then the best song on the album Where The Beauty Ends which is very dark and the lyrics are amazing. These guys are more than capable of carrying the torch for industrial, they are not metal by the way there is too much distortion for them to be a metal band in my opinion. Pick this up now, these guys are amazing.
