Lady Strange
I forgot how good this stuff was. I had this on vinyl when I was a kid and recently upgraded to disc for old time sake. Remember the days when a good single could actually have a guitar solo? - You probably don't, but this will bring it all back to you. The deep cuts are just as good as the obvious ones - I particularly dig Lady Strange. Hard rock ear candy. .


One of the best ever
Having said that, in my opinion, High N' Dry is one of the best rock albums of all time. I was 15 when this album came out, so that tells you how long I have been listening to rock music. That's right ALL TIME. Why, because EVERY single song is a masterpiece of duel axe slinging riffs and grinds with great vocals that make you want to crank it and listen to it again and again. This is raw def leppard at their musically creative best. They were never able to duplicate this level of musicianship again, (although Pyromania remains the most popular Leppard release due to 2-3 songs that were big hits). This is the kind of stuff that came out of the 80's metal explosion and what is sorely lacking in today's rock. Leppard, if your listening, go back to your beginning and rock the world again!
On a side note, compare the guitar work on this album to the stuff you hear today, no comparison, where has all the talent gone? So sad.


Classic 80's
Their second album has some memorable songs. If I had to name only 10 great 80's bands, Def Leppard would be in the top 5. This is a great cd if you like older Def Lep (as I do). Another hard-to-find title. .


High N Dry - Best Leppard- Deluxe Edition Release?
I have always thought that High N Dry was the best Def Leppard album. With The Past Release of Hysteria and now releasing both Adrenalize and Pyromania it is time for the best. I sadly figure there won't be a Deluxe Edition with incredible remastered sound released. Hopefully I'm wrong.


High N Dry 1981
This one and 'On Through the Night' are still my favorites!! My old buddy Dave bought this one first, and I was soon to follow. This album takes me back!! The raw youthful sound of Def Leppard before Mutt Lange got ahold of them. .
