The Season is Upon Us Now I have to say, this recording is still my facvorite Christmas recording. I recently replaced my old vinyl of this recording with a new CD. It has a musical and spiritual intamacy that so many musicians long for but fail to achieve. It has a nice mix of traditional and original music that should satisfy your christmas music craving. There are two new recordings, Jingle Bells and Whit christamas on theis CD. It was nice to hear new material by John. John has never failed to deliver music if it was not first perfected, live or recording, it was all good.
My wife had never heard this before I purchased the cd, she absoulutly loved it. It will now be on of our standards of Christmas music. My personal fav's are O Holy night, Coventry Carol and A Baby just like you.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!.
John Denver doing Christmas songs
I was 14 yrs old. I remember when the show aired on tv. The record brings back great memories from a time not to long ago. Great collection of Christmas songs.

John Denver
I have really enjoyed listening to the "new to me" songs. I really love John Denver and somehow I had missed this CD.
An Original Christmas Classic!
amazon. Watch Video Here: http://www. amazon. com/review/R2EXUFWRAERNVS Containing both secular and religious Christmas classics, John Denver truly delivered one of the greatest American holiday recordings ever conceived back in 1975. More than three decades later this heartwarming classic still shimmers with simple, engaging renditions of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," "O Holy Night," and "Little Town of Bethlehem". In addition original numbers like the beautiful "Aspenglow," the fun-loving "Please, Daddy (Don't Get Drunk This Christmas)," and "Dreamland Express" (frequently found on Denver's anthologies) make for a rich and well-rounded collection. .
No John Denver collection would be complete without this.
Wonderful to hear his sweet voice on "Christmas for Cowboys", "Aspenglow", two of my favorites. I had this LP so many years ago. This is Denver at his natural best. No hype or strain, as on his later recordings. I could do without "Please Daddy Don't Get Drunk this Christmas" though.
