This CD is AWSOME! . I have almost all of John Denver's albums, but this one is amazing and awsome -- a real treasure! This is a must have for any John Denver fan. My favorite John Denver CD! This is especially true with John's music. This is my favorite John Denver CD EVER! I'm a firm believer that sometimes an orchestra or band "take away" the effect of the music. While always wonderful and entertaining, the music seems more "pure" when it's just John and his guitar or the piano. I could "feel" the music more with this CD then with others in my John Denver collection. This CD is NOT meant for listening to while you are doing things around the house. It's meant for turning the lights down low (or out)curling up on the couch, and just EXPERIANCING it. John's been gone for over ten years. But his music and what he tried to do will live forever. . A Must Have For The John Denver Fan No backing band. I had the opportunity to see John Denver at the Warfield Theater in San Francisco during his "A Man and His Music" tour. Just John on stage with his guitars and a piano. It was and still is the most impressive concert I have ever been to. It takes a lot to successfully pull off a solo performance such as this. This CD is an excellent representation of that concert tour. Anyone who considers themself a JD fan MUST buy this CD. This is John at his finest!. frontporchbanjopicker The last time we saw JD in concert was during this mi-eighties period without a full band and stage fluff, it was totally moving. This is one of JD's finest live performances captured on CD and recorded with just him and guitar. Thank you Ron and Mrs. Deutschendorf for sharing this special event with us, it certainly is a treasure. This is outstanding I have lots of John Denver's cds and play them often. . however, this one seems to be on my play stack more than some others. This is a great cd.
