Possibly the best album ever made, and I'm serious
This album captures everything I love about Conor Oberst--amazing lyrics, lots of energy, great songs. Conor has proven himself to be a versatile song writer. See for yourself, this album is splendid. .


AMAZON SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
Album is great. . Software sucks. This is the second time an amazon downloader has given me a problem. I guess I am going to have to buy from big brother now(ITUNES), amazon needs to fire some people making this subpar software that crashes halfway through an album download. Real shame, I liked the DRM free stuff so I can listen to it on more then one device. Customer service is a joke too. Buy the CD, forget this nonsense.


Artistically Void
However, from a strictly professional standpoint, this is album is abysmal. I know a great deal of people will disagree with me and tell you that this is a fantastic album. There is nothing to be said of talent or mastery of the members respective instruments. Rudimentary drumming, sub-par guitar, and unrefined vocals do not make music. I am honestly surprised that somebody produced this album.
There is little that distinguishes Desaparecidos from your local bar band. All the potentially appealing features boil down to trite cliché outbursts of global-claustrophobia including; Dull witted jabs at Starbucks; Disapproval of S. U. V. s; And more tired, empty, run of the mill counter capitalist whining than you could ever want.

love the way conor screams. i wish it was a little longer, but this is a great rock cd. he has an amazing voice.


Short Review.
Lyrically, it can give some insight and can be educational. Conor Oberst's takes his views on political/social problems and puts them into imaginitive, poetic lyrics. Musically, it is upbeat and suits my tastes well. If you are an Oberst fan I'm sure you'll love this band because it shows his talent in a new way, and different style.
