isuppose the only way this could have been better , would be to have a disk set covering all of dio's releases, no rainbow,no black sabbath just dio.

I listen to it all the time. I love this album. It contains all of his greatest hits and it's remastered very well.


Sixteen amazing cuts from a true metal beast!
Whether it was Black Sabbath, Rainbow, or his own band, Dio, Ronnie James Dio has showed us what an excellent vocalist and showman he truly is. Dio is definitely a promiment name in the genre of metal. "The Very Beast of Dio" offers 16 classics from the band Dio. Granted, a dual-disc compilation would have better summarized up the astounding band's career, but the advantage of this collection being single-disc is that it gives you a nice offering of the band's songs without giving away too much of the original albums, at least that's what I think.
We get such powerhouses rockers as "Stand Up and Shout", "We Rock", a live version of "Man on the Silver Mountain", originally a song from Dio-era Rainbow, and the godly "Holy Diver". All songs showcases fiery riffs, blazing guitar solos, pounding drums (I love Vinny Appice's snapping snare drum sound!), and of course, Ronnie James Dio's amazing, powerful, melodic voice.
Then we get such classics that have influenced more recent power metal bands with dominant keyboard lines, such as "Mystery" "Hungry For Heaven" and the classic "Rainbow In The Dark". More recent, pummeling songs such as "Lock Up The Wolves" and "Strange Highways" are also included.

In addition to the great songs, that come at a great price I might add, we get nice liner notes, band photos and song credits in the booklet. All of this is a great package and a great introduction to the amazing Dio! Thanks for the time, and peace.


Dio at their best

This CD took me by storm, i bought it only knowing one song (i'm a Rainbow fan), and i found quite a few others on it that were VERY good, and i'm glad i bought it. A great compilation of Dio's best songs, this CD serves as an excellent addition to music collections including Rainbow, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath.


More DIO than should be allowed by law!
He told me it arrived in excellent condition, early, and is the F**king bomb! "More DIO than should be allowed by law"!!! Great seller. I bought this item as a gift for a family member. Great product. 'NUFF said!
