AWESOME!! If you purchased this CD you are a DIO fan, if you are a DIO fan everything you want is right there in this CD!! Kick butt vocals, dynamite guitar, pounding drums and bass, what else can you ask for in a metal CD!! I've been a DIO fan since his days with Sabbath and this CD instantly became a classic with me!! Enjoy it!! It's truly five stars!!. I can't believe most people reviewed this as four stars.
Very good modern metal
The 90's in particular saw many of these bands fall on their faces trying 'fix' their sound. Society has all but destroyed good rock; even many of the once-good bands have caved in to try to fit in with the popular styles. No one can ever put that tag on Dio. . . although he has probably been a member of AARP for quite some time, he has always 'danced with the one who brung him'. KTD is a very fine piece of work! .
Dio rocks
Then it came the Last in Line and then it should be Killing the Dragon. I have been a fun since the first Holy Diver album. The alboum is great. The sound is pure metal. The lyrics are Dio magical lyrics. Metal funs should own a copy of this album.
I was lucky and I saw DIO on that tour here in Greece, and what can I say, Long Live R'N'R.
Great guitar work, lyrics are the flaw
This cd is pretty solid and Dio fans should be pleased but the lyrics are weak as is apparent in the title mishap. I love Dio and Doug Aldrich brings a very welcome addition to the Dio line up, too bad he didn't stay on. The title track is killer, the verbiage is wrong. Master of the Moon musically is dragging, but the lyrics there are not - too bad we can't merge the two. .
Back to the Eighties
This album is as good as The Last In Line, so it must be good, very good. Dio goes back to the eighties metal style, and this album is good. But the reason why it was a bit of a disapointing album for me is because I expected anoter masterpiece like Magica. Killing the Dragon is great, but not as powerful as Magica. But this album is still very good, the only weak song is Before the Fall, the rest is great. My favorite songs are Throw Away Children, Killing The Dragon and Scream. The new guitarist is also very good, his style is similar to Vivian Campbell's style. Ronnie James Dio sings great as always and the rest of the band is good too.
The band is:
Ronnie James Dio - Vocals
Doug Aldrich - Guitars
Simon Wright - Drums
Jimmy Bain - Bass
Scot Warren - Keyboards
Buy it if you are a metal fan!.
