Fats If you don't like it, why would you be reading this review? The compilation is great, and features all of his big hits on Imperial from 1950-1961. The music speaks for itself. It misses some great minor hits like his great version of "When The Saints Go Marching In" and "Sick And Tired", and there is not enough room on a single CD for all of his top 40 pop hits. Some of those are forgettable, however, and there are few flaws in the song selection, except for those aforementioned songs. All in all, a great compilation, and an improvement on Fats Domino Jukebox: 20 Greatest Hits The Way You Originally Heard Them, because it is longer. .
Just glorious classic music!
It's just wonderful, fun music that never goes out of style. Fats Domino's career was before my time but my husband and I have really enjoyed everything about the 30 songs on this CD. Hooray for Fats!.
Fat's Domino
the Fat Man rocks on. The man at his best, many of these numbers I heard back in the UK for the first time in the 50's and they still sound as good,NO EVEN BETTER NOW.
Lots to like about this CD
There is some filler, but this is still the best collection of Fats Domino's hits I've seen. If you were a teen in the late '50s/early /60s, the songs on this CD will be very familiar to you.
Greatest Hits: Walking To New Orleans
Fats does not even sound like his concert at Petinas. The recording is of poor quality and does not sound like Fats Domino that I remember. I do not recomend that any connoisseur of the 1950's Fats whose music is still audible in his/her ears buy it, this is a disappointing experience.
