gaet progression It truly an album you can put on and listen all the way through. The album, though darker and more subdued is still heavey and true to DPs style. Excellent hard rock music. .
Drowning Pool
Well rounded as a whole and a disc that can be played over and over. Loved the energy in this CD.

Drowning in Chains
Drowning Pool changes lead singers again in the summer of 2005, continuing their trend of "one album per frontman. Exit Jason Jones, enter Ryan McCombs. " Fortunately, it looks like McCombs is here to stay, and I've finally made up my mind that it's for the best.
Full Circle didn't blow me away, nor did it bore me. Actually, I'd be hard pressed to find a song here that I don't like. Why not five stars, then? Well. . . Though there isn't a poor song on this album, there's really no standout tracks, either. The whole album is solid, but when I'm scrolling through the track list nothing jumps out at me. The closest thing to a standout on this album is my personal favorite, "Shame," but it isn't a masterpiece like "Reminded" or "All Over Me" from their debut album "Sinner. "
That said, "Full Circle" offers us a lot of good songs, the title track and their cover of Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell" being two of the better ones. Drowning Pool also went for a softer sound in some places. "Reborn" opens with an acoustic guitar, and McCombs throws in a vocal melody at the beginning that'll remind you of Alice in Chains. Both the acoustic guitars and the very Layne Staley-esque vocal melodies appear periodically throughout the album, making for an interesting change from Drowning Pool's previous two efforts. Of course, C. J. Pierce still has some killer riffs in him, as is demonstrated on "Enemy" and "Duet. " McCombs also incorporates some of his signature yelling into the latter, as well as in the fan favorite, "Soldiers. "
"Full Circle" is a very enjoyable album, and I was pleased to see Drowning Pool have progressed into more of a post-grunge act. Dave Williams and Jason Jones fans may not like it, but Ryan McCombs fans and anyone with appreciation for Alice in Chains will surely fall in love with this album.
