A Fitting Tribute to a Master Songwriter
The list of performing artists reads like a who's who of most major music genres. This album really shows how broad Bob Dylan's influence has been in the music world. While I can't say I love all the performances (the Carter/Cash rendition of "It Ain't Me Babe" comes to mind), the majority of them are marvelous and one may never hear these renditions again. I had this album on Cassette but had to get it on CD as well. This album is a great buy for any Dylan fan.

Bob Dylan's 30th. Celebration - Great!
A must for the Dylan lover. This product is great in that it brings Dylan songs by other artists.

Where was Leon Russell
I Love The Video. I Love this CD. My Video is wearing out. I don't want to Fast Forward anymore. I want to Skip forward or backwards. Where the bloody hell is the DVD. It's crazy this isn't out on DVD. And I still can't work out where Leon or Joan were on the night. And why didn't Leon play at Concert for George??
.

How did I miss this?
Twenty nine tracks, and at least 27 are brilliant. I came across this by accident while searching for another band. Everyone in my family loves this album. What a lineup of stars! (and NO kid rock, no rappers!) Tastefully Done!.

SUPERIOR LIVE RECORDING FROM OUR GENERATION'S GREATEST MUSIC POET
Recorded in October 1992 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, it captures most of a memorable show full of celebrities, new and veteran, performing classic Dylan songs, before ending with a few performances from Bob Dylan himself. The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration is a live double-album release in recognition of Bob Dylan's 30 years as a recording artist. The house band for the show is the surviving members of Booker T. and the MG's: Booker T. Jones on organ, Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass, and Steve Cropper on guitar. Joining them is drummer Anton Fig, filling in for the late Al Jackson. Also on drums is renowned session drummer Jim Keltner. Longtime Saturday Night Live bandleader G. E. Smith is the musical director for the show.

The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration double-album, which reached #40 in the US and went gold, was released in August 1993 just before Dylan was about to deliver his second folk studio set inside of a year, World Gone Wrong. The spectacle is dubbed "Bobfest" by Neil Young at the beginning of his "All Along the Watchtower" cover.
