Eye for great music
His debut album was excellent from start to finish and so is this one. Eagle Eye Cherry has once again produced another great album. The whole family will like his music as there is such a huge contrast on the album. Featuring tracks like Are You Still Having Fun, Long Way Around, Burning Up and shades of grey it proves that Eagle Eye Cherry is going to be someone to look out for in the future. (look out for a guest apperance by Neneh).

originality
The lyrics in most of his songs are philisofical and easy to relate to, though not often said alound in this world. Eagle Eye Cherry once again touches emotions not normally touched. I am a big fan of Eagle Eye for he is one of the few pop artists who kept his own style while in the public light. His new cd has a few more upbeat songs, but pretty much the same sound, which is laid back and acoustic. I applaude him, for he plays various instruments, sings, writes, and even produced his own cd, Desireless. It is sad that Eagle-Eye is known for only "Save Tonight" while he has even better songs on that cd as well as this new one. If you like meaningful songs with an original rythm and feeling to them, by all means buy this cd and you won't be sorry. Eagle - Eye Cherry, if you're reading this, keep up the good work. You're a talented musician and deserve the best. One day many people will realize how good you are and that the fake pop icons we're following today aren't in your category by a long shot.

Desire-ful
Desireless has a soothing sound to it that I can enjoy easily. Even though Eagle Eye never really caught on here in the States after Save Tonight, I've always liked his sound. So, why bring up Desireless here? Well, because Living in the Present Future is pretty much Desireless Part 2. Eagle Eye doesn't do a whole lot to tread new ground here, even with the duet he does with Neneh Cherry (his sister?). I personally don't mind that, seeing as how I like Eagle's style. And, there are some great songs on here that are just as mellow and relaxing as those on Desireless. But, some may see the similarity to Desireless as a weakness of this album. Personally, though, I don't. Overall, if you liked Desireless, you'll like this album just as much, as it's more of the same stuff. But, if you didn't care for Desireless, don't expect a new sound to catch your interest here.
