They are a cool new findThe rest of the album is ok. I really like their first song Wait. I'm a big Tool and APC fan and while this singer sounds somewhat like MJK the music doesnt at all to me. If you have never heard their stuff before try and listen to their song "Wait" first before you buy this album. I will buy another album of theirs in the future this was my first.
This was great
This was an emotional album that was great from begining to end exept for track10 but this album was great a nice emotional and effort. This was an awsome album from earshot but the only song i did'nt like was track10 that song was boring but the rest was great.
Great Album (Or Atleast I think so)
First off this album is so great. And I'll explain why. Each song has a touch of emotion that will get to you because in this album Wil writes about how people feel and also on how he feels. To me there is nothing better then listening to something that you can relate too. The songs have a great beat and great lyrics. Each song gets better as you listen to the album. A lot of the songs on the album just touch my heart because of the lyrics. I don't understand why others rate this album so poorly because this album touched my heart and made me emotinal as I related to the lyrics. The words express so much. "Someone" is about always getting with the wrong person but wanting to finally meet the one who never puts you down etc. But please buy this CD, listen to the lyrics and let it move you because if it weren't for this album I wouldve never really gotten in touch with my inner emotions. This CD didn't dissapoint me at all. Hopefully you'll feel the same way if you purchase this item. But if you don't like it I guess it's just your opinion.
What happened?
I bought Earshot's "Letting go" when it first came out and I liked it because they had something original going and their music had quite a bit of emotion. I am not one to criticize beyond giving constructive advise.
It's 2006 and I just stumbled upon their second release. What happened? Where did Earshot run off to? This album is not close to their first in any way and quite frankly it sounds like one long drawn out waste of studio time.
I wonder how they feel about it. I'm not impressed. I see that some people were and I wish I could see why because every song sounds the same to me. It feels like they were shooting for eleven hits and missed. . like they tried to be every other popular band out there. Earshot you have really let yourself go with this one.
A good sophomore release.
I thought "Letting Go" was okay but It seemed to be lacking something. Earshot's sophomore release, in my opinion, was much better than their first. It just wasn't anything spectacular. Earshot's most recent release "Two", on the other hand, is a lot better. There just seems to be much more activity, music wise, with this release. What I mean by that is on "Letting Go" a few of the songs were kind of dreary, boring, and sounded the same. Not to say that "Letting Go" didn't have great songs on it, I just didn't love the entire album. This release though, I seem to like a lot more on it. A few of the songs on "Two" surpass songs off of their last. For example, "Someone" has to be my favorite track by the band. As soon as I had heard this song on the radio I had to buy the cd. The only thing wrong is that the weakest part of the cd has to be the track "Should've Been There". It's just extremely annoying. Here are my song ratings. . .
1. Wait - 10/10
2. Tongue-Tied - 10/10
3. Fall Apart - 8/10
4. Someone - 10/10
5. Rotten Inside - 9/10
6. Down - 9. 5/10
7. Nice To Feel The Sun - 10/10
8. Again - 9/10
9. Goodbye - 9. 5/10
10. Should've Been There - 3. 5/10
11. Control - 10/10
Overall: 89% B+
After reading some of the other reviews I can't understand how some people didn't like this cd. I guess maybe it was due to a slight shift in style from their last cd. Although it really wasn't that much of a change. Anyway, I'm sure fans of this band will probably enjoy most of the tracks on this album. So go out and get it if you haven't already done so. .
