The BEST
This is truly one of the most consistent Erasure CD's ever. In retrospect repurchasing this CD has found a new appreciation in my collection. Andy's voice is full, front and center. With the talent he is blessed with it should never be hidden nor buried in the background as on some other Erasure CD's. The songs are catchy, the lyrics moving and the music, some of Vincent's most "pop" arrangements. I sit back and await the next full length Erasure CD. The Union Street CD is great for fans and a nice break from the usual bleeps and drum machines. Just a future note boys, we need something we can move too!.

Erasure's comeback
Full of upbeat music and wonderful imagery, this is one of their finest collections, especially in these later years. After the somewhat subdued _Erasure_ which has taken years to grow on me, this album is a refreshing return to greatness. While the pair is definitely exploring their artism, this album definitely ranks up there with _Two-Ring Circus_, _I Say I Say I Say_, and _The Innocents_. Lyrics like

"Worlds on fire, full of pain and endless fear, don't you know you have the key, love sets you free,"

"Your colours are magnificent, from magenta to bright blue"

"My world in light saving all as one,
I dream of trees and roads
I roam across the hills,"

and

"The sky is big, the deepest blue,
The clouds like smoky trains
A love that no one can deny. "

make this one of Erasure's most soulful and inspired albums. If you don't have it, you're not a true fan!

Mind and Emotion
I have, believe it or not, heard very little of Erasure in the past. . maybe a few classic songs on the radio. About three or four years ago, I purchased Erasure's Cowboy. . for "In My Arms" that I heard on the radio and thought was so pretty. But after buying the album I wondered if I'd like the rest of the songs, I was taking a chance.
Well lo and behold. . I found this ablum to be emotionally stirring, and in some songs so wonderfully moving in its poetry, that I can't stop listening to this album. My faves are the following:

Rain- Love the beat, words, and feel to this song. A great beginner to the album.

Worlds on Fire- Another good one. Can't say exactly why, but I do like this one, maybe for the lyrics.

In My Arms- Defintely a hit. I love the haunting melody.

Don't Say Your. . . - Cute song, but very angsty. Catchy beat.

Precious- My all time favorite track. . and probably my fave Erasure song ever. The lyrics, the sound, the emotional mood. . . this one is WAY too overlooked.

Boy- I like the chorus and sound to this one.

Save Me Darling- Though indeed a little campy, this one is so cute. I love the chorus to death, and will sing along loudly in my car!

Love Affair- Very haunting, beautiful melody. The words are kinda sad.

Magic Moments- It is corny, but I get a good laugh listening to this one.

In summary, Cowboy is an album I'll treasure always!.
