Yes, it's in Spanish but it's not Cuban Music
Yes, it's sung in Spanish - and Ms. I'm amazed at the number of people who have left comments that this rather soft, middle-of-the-road piece of American pop music is somehow Cuban music. Estafan's family came from Cuba - but where's the meat? Which Cuban CD sounds anything like this stuff?
Having been a pop singer for many years, Gloria suddenly discovered her Cuban family roots and her parents anti-Castro-ism. I guess it would be too cynical to say if you buy into the American dream, leave your homeland and become an American then there's a musical price to pay. . . . and this rather tepid CD is a testament to that. .

If I could only have one of her records, this would be my choice!. I believe this is the absolute best work Gloria Estefan has ever done.

Another MUST have for any Gloria fan! Great romantic songs and great shake it songs! This one has has never left my car since I purchased it!.

Todas las canciones podrían ser la cara A de un single . "Mi Tierra" es sin género de dudas el mejor album latino de Gloria, ni siquiera superado por "90 Millas". . . Mi tierra, Hablemos el mismo idioma, . . .
Es un gran homenaje a sus raíces cubanas que tanto añora.

What a stunning album
But this collection of Cuban songs sung in Spanish was a revelation. I always considered Estefan a talented but too pop-oriented for my taste. Absolutely brilliant recording!.
