Cool Mix It's been almost three years since their last studio album but while you're waiting for it you should pick up this single. I don't know what Evanscence is waiting for. It's got a cool music video and a great remix and its got Farther Away on it. I don't know where else to get the studio version of it so if you really want it then this is the single for you to get. It took me awhile to really get into the bliss mix of Bring Me To Life but it's pretty cool. I only wish a live version was included but I have Anywhere but Home.
Track Listing
1. Bring Me To Life
2. Bring Me to Life (Bliss Mix)
3. Farther Away
4. Missing (music video)
Overall a good set for any Evanescence fan to purchase and it'll be a good addition to your collection.

Images & Words > Evanescence The instrumental bridge in "Metrpolis Pt. Do I need to say more? Dream Theater's album "Images & Words" destroys this album while on its laziest moment. 1: The Miracle & The Sleeper" has more thought, complexity, and originality than every single Evanescence song combined! If you don't believe me, download it! (Warning though: It's 9:32 long, so you might not be able to take. Oh yeah, and there's ACTUAL guitar solos, and you can HEAR the bass guitar [hell, there's even a short {but sweet} bass solo!]).
Can't Get it except, RARELY, on eBay I fell in love with Bring me to life last summer (the reviewer below mine can kiss it if he thinks he's special). I bought this album on ebay from australia. I have reciently become a devoted fan and have acquired EVERY track ever released by the band. I was even lucky enough to get an actual copy of the 2000 Big Wig release of Origin.
I love this single because it has 'Missing' and 'Farther Away' on it, 2 previously unreleased tracks. Sadly, since this particular version of the single was recalled for one that included a CD-ROM video, the general public has been deprived of 'Missing', unless you download a version loaded with nasty interruptions or an incomplete re-constructed version (as is found on the fake Origin from europe). This extremely beautiful song will forever captivate those lucky enough to hear it.
Farther Away is performed live as part of Evanescence's set. It's such an awesome song (the energy Amy sings it with is awe-inspiring), but I can see why wind-up would remove it from 'Fallen'. The song seems sort-of artificial and it doesn't flow with the rest of Fallen. It's better live because, when you sing along, people arround you are like 'what the heck? how do you know that song?!'
Any true Evanescence fan agrees that Paul McCoy Ruined Bring me to life. I'm not saying I totally hate it and everyone involved for it, but his part is so last-minute and manufactured, that it gives the ballad a completely different feel. The bliss mix now replaces the album version on all of my computer playlists.
The album version, though with it's faults, is what captivated me to love evanescence in the first place. The strong emotion Amy Lee put into all of her songs make them all true gems in this world.
"missing" is missing! However I was surprized to find out it did not include the song "missing", The song has been replaced by the video version of bring me to life, for cd-rom, and that's fine. I purchased Evanescence's "Bring me to life/ Farther away" import single that is advertised here. The single is great, but don't expect to get the original import(AUS. )(2003). .
Missing is definitely being missed Then there is the somber "Missing", which makes this single so sought after because it was replaced by the "Bring Me To Life" video in later pressings. "Farther Away" is quite a song both musically and lyrically. "Missing" is a slow quiet song, as with the style of "My Immortal" and "Hello" from the Fallen album. Both of these B-sides (not album tracks as the listing would make you believe) would have made great additions to the Fallen album, but probably with the sacrifice of one of the 11 tremendous tracks that did make it to the album. If you're among the many who were drawn to Evanescence by "Bring Me To Life", you may enjoy the bliss mix. It is the same as the album version, but without the vocals from Paul McCoy. This single tends to be a little pricy because of the limitedness due to the pressing change, but is definitely worth owning.
