Awesome Album
I remember when it was first released, I was in 10th grade, everytime I hear it, it reminds me of High School. This is one of my favoite cd's I own. .

great cd
This cd is fantastic, there are a few songs that aren't as good as the rest, but they are still decent. It isn't everyday that you find a cd where all the tracks are good. You won't waste your money on one good song with this cd.

A very impressive debut from a band that keeps growing strong!
Lyrically, lead singer Max Collins is brilliant, lacing each track with ambiguous phrases that make you think while you sing along. Eve 6 put together quite to impressive debut, with catchy riffs and singable singles, songs like `Inside Out' and `Leech' stay stuck in your head for days on end. Love tracks like `Open Road Song', which will get your head and feet bopping, as well as my personal favorite `Showerhead', which addresses infidelity in the most frank of ways. Eve 6 has a great thing going here. . . their debut was strong, as was their sophomore and their third release. They just seem to get better with age, but the strength of their debut will always be remembered, for it was in songs like `Tongue Tied' that they were born, and what a wonderful birth that was!.

Burn, burn, like a wicker cabinet
i have these songs stuck in my head and i havent listned to the album in like a year! it is even better than horroscope, which was pretty darn good. Oh yeah! i bought this cuz' i heard inside out on the radio. i totally recommend this item!

Any sonic comparison to Green Day is unfounded
" Like Green Day, this music helped me deal with a lot of crap, but in the MUSIC, there is a major difference. This was the first album I ever owned, back in the early stages of Hell that is known as "adolescence. Eve 6 has a unique sound despite using power chords and palm-muting techniques, which seems to be a requirement for "pop-punk" bands to be signed these days. Part of it has to do with Max Collins' extremely thought-provoking lyrics. In an age where poetic lyricism has given way to meaningless vulgarity, this is a reason to deeply appreciate the band.

Six years later, I don't seem quite as taken with certain songs, such as "There's a Face" or "Saturday Night. " Regardless, every song on this album is accessible and clever, in its own way.

It's a shame this lyrical talent didn't carry over into their third album.
