Customer Reviews
I like it a lot
Great sound. very tight solo acoustic guitar work. Im pretty sure this is just Fahey even though it sounds like two guitarists. Havent heard much of his other stuff to compare it too, but this one holds my attention throughout. Ranges from upbeat in mood to spooky and meditative.

Live in Tasmainia.
Reading the liner notes and listen to the wonderful guitar that come up. There something about getting a John Fahey record that I love. This album is no exception. This live album has great sound to it. Them was some editing in the concert like on Waltzing Matilda because it didn't feel like it was a proper ending. The best song for me was Tiger in the frist melody. It was also fun to hear Fahey talk to the audience about how Tasmaina didn't seem so adventuerous like when he saw it in National Geographics. Great album. .

fantastic live album
Some slight editing artifacts don't take away from what this man could do on a guitar given a good audience and acoustics. mid-career album from John Fahey that shows what an amazing talent he was. I'm biased as a longtime Fahey fanatic but a close listen to "the return of the Tasmanian Tiger/Funeral Song for Mississippi John Hurt" makes it evident why Fahey was such an influence on so many guitarists. Beautiful stuff here and more accessible than most of his later work.
