Jose' Feliciano- the original "Guitar hero" -live

Truly a man gifted in his skills on both the guitar and his incredible style of singing. Owned this album on vinyl first and played until almost worn out. Live performances may or may not be a personal preference, but this performance is special. . . I love Jose' Feliciano and
remain in awe of the talent, the music, the crowd-pleasing presence he has in this collection of songs. Remains one of my favorites! .

Feliciano's Best- Long Overdue on CD
I was disappointed by the track listings showing the first track as "Hi Heel Sneakers" and not "God Save the Queen" as on the lp. First off, there are two discs not one. "God Save the Queen" is on this as part of the first track. "The Comedy Bit" is a little dated, but shows Feliciano's talent at mimicry. As to the concert itself, this is just outstanding! "No Dogs Allowed" was apparently written "on the spot" to spotlight Felcicano's treatment when he arrived with his seeing-eye dog. I scoured ebay several years ago to find a copy of this on reel to reel, then dubbed it to cd, thinking it would never be on cd. I still bought this one. If you liked Felicano "back in the day", this is definitely one that belongs in your collection.

A Great acoustic live album!

Nothing of sofisticate: is almost "solo" acoustic live concert, Jose with his incredible guitar, so unique vocal and effects with only a drums and bass. This album (or original double Vinyl) is story! Released in 1969 was a big hit around the world (one of the fews double album to recieive gold record and most selling album in Usa charts) and surely this deserve all. . all the rest is soul and any type of music here in so personal way, from his past hits Light My Fire, California Dreamin, Rain or He Heel Sneakers to latin cuban, mexican, brazilian tunes, in vocal and instrumentals versions, notable however his classical guitar version of Lecuona's Malaguena and incredible guitar his composition "La Entrada de Bilbao" where He rebuild all the battle with guns all with his guitar! To have, this is story from an inimitable true artist so diifferent from feliz navidad.

From LP to CD: Live from The London Palladium!
I finally found "Alive Alive-O!" at my favorite indie music store, Jelly's. I have the original double LP version of this superb live album, but the turntable and the old stereo system have been offline for some time. It's just like an favorite old pair or shoes: as good as you remember it, and timeless (except "The Comedy Bit. "). I also found his current English language CD, "The Soundtrax In My Life," but that's another story. Pop music stars need banks of electronics to make what they call "music," while Jose Felciano needed nothing more than a guitar and his soaring voice to reach the audience. What a time it was! .
