Another amazing live Ferrick album .... with drums
This concert includes drummer Brian Winton, who sounds like he's not holding anything back and goes full blast with every song. 70 People is another excellent live album from an amazing live performer, Melissa Ferrick. Melissa more than holds her own with her guitar and voice leading the crazy drummer. All of Melissa's live albums are great, but when I'm looking for an energetic album, this is the one I put on my ipod. Black Tornado, Then So It Is and Welcome To My Life are the highlights for me.

If you can't make it to a show, buy this CD!
If you have never heard of her before (and I hadn't until about 6 months ago) this is a great introduction to her music. I love Melissa, and this CD is absolutely awesome. It also gives you a real feel for what it is like to hear her live. The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is hard to tell where one song ends, and another begins. The energy level of all of the music is about the same, which is not true of the same songs in their studio version. Even so, I could listen to this CD over and over again. It is really great, and you get a good feel for Melissa as a person as well.

brilliant talent and dexterity!
I was blown away. I was introduced to Melissa Ferrick just recently by just being part of the folk/rock-genre as fan of artists such as Ani DiFranco. This is the first Ferrick album I purchased and her ability to perform live and her unarguable talent really come across. Her work is impressive both lyrically, emotionally and musically (which could really be one. . . but whatever, I'm not a professional critic! is there such thing??)
well. . . buy it, its good! that's all there is to it. it's awesome!.
