Customer Reviews
Simply a great work of art
It is one of my desert island discs along with "GONE TO EARTH", "WORLD GONE WRONG", "ANIMALS", "WITHIN THE REALM OF A DYING SUN" and "LOVELESS". This CD is timeless - I have been listening to it for almost seven years now, and it's still as fresh, complex and atmospheric as the the first time I heard it.

Ethereal mood music at its best...
If you have heard their early "Burning the Fields" e. The foreboding intro to this album blasts into a moody goth-guitar riff that accompanies the well matured Voice of Carl McCoy, the band's long time lead vocalist. p. , then you know what I mean. . . As the music continues, it slows to a perfectly strung along series of haunting melodies that lead you through the first side's beautifully painted images of ancient mesopotamian romance. Typical Goth themes pervade throughout the rest of the album, such as, anguished cries for love, darkly ethereal synthesizer riffs etc. . . There is also an occult/pagan bent to the artwork inside the cover that ought to satisfy the amateur alchemist inside everyone. If you ever wanted to experience that otherwordly feeling as you enjoy music, you will most certainly not be denied when hearing this recording, it delves deep into your passionate alter-ego and evokes an almost euphoric trance upon the first listening. So in other words, if you want low risk of being let down, buy this album.

Awesome. Buy This!
If you like older Fields, Sisters, Pink Floyd, This Mortal Coil, etc. I have been into Fields for about 7 years and let me say, this is not only their best CD but probably my favorite Cd ever. . . You will looove this. Every song flows into the next one in a story of sorts. Well crafted musically and very interesting lyrics.
