Customer Reviews oh YEAH!!! This follow up, is little more edgy and a lot more guitar driven. That's what love songs often do, was and still is to me, one of the most straight-forward alternative albums ever made. More unique. I love the first album. But this album is really good. I found out about fig dish from former tour mates of theirs, local H. Fig Dish's most recent release is packed with power pop! Bands like Husker Du and Big Star come to mind with Fig Dish's melding of melodic pop nuances and driving guitar. I just recently picked up what I believe was Fig Dish's first major label release, "That's What Love Songs Often Do" and just had to have more. "When Shove Goes Back to Push" is a strong follow-up to this first release. The album covers a range between heavy and fairly mellow, but most impressive are the dynamics within each song. I highly recommend picking up both of these albums, especially if you enjoy excellent drumming and tight overall execution. With every record to date, Fig Dish has offered power pop at its best -- we can only look forward to their next effort. .
