Yes, it is... The Very Best Of...
This 2006 Atlantic/RHINO CD of Roberta Flack impressed me just as much as the exquisite sound quality of "The Very Best Of Phoebe Snow," which was a SONY/Columbia Legacy 2001 release. Okay, fellow Amazonians out there who enjoy old school music that has been expertly and meticulously remastered, look no further. Bias aside, I absolutely love their voices and to hear the same songs I listened to over 30 years ago sounding amazingly fresh and clean that leave me with goosebumps (listen to 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' uninterrupted. . . See what I mean?!) is truly worth whatever it cost. Of course, there are one or two songs that didn't make it on the CD, which is usually the case with "Best Of" compilations, that are personal favorites (particularly, 'God Don't Like Ugly'), but that is to be expected. .


Poor Sound Quality
Unfortunately, poor sound quality, it has static, and skipped a few times throughout the song (similar to listening to some of my old LPs). I purchased the mp3 of "the first time ever I saw your face". I am very disappointed. .


Great CD!!!
Her voice is smooth and melodic. I forgot how many really great songs Roberta Flack has. This is a really great cd and I would recommend it to anyone who likes love songs with a smooth and relaxing feel to it.


The very Best of Roberta Flack
Highly recommended - everyone should have at least this particular disc if you want to listen to vintage Roberta Flack. Excellent.


Not the original mixes?
What happened to the orchestral background harmonies? It seems to be all vocal and rhythm track/booming bass. These are great songs, but not the original radio mixes that I expected. I suppose some might enjoy that, but it feels like the music's half missing.
