Better than the reviews here give it credit for...
The sound quality is nowhere near perfect, but even with this flaw, this recording showcases a band on the verge of greatness. Yes, this is a live album, and it's true that the CD does not mention this one bit, however, any serious fan of AFOS will want this. Given the song choices and the way the songs sound, I would suspect this is a very early recording - you can hear how much tighter and better the band was about to be. Some of the songs sound as if the band is about to explode at any moment, and I loved that! Not perfect, but great especially for the price, and maybe the only place to hear the early b-side "Pick Me Up" on CD.

This is a Joke

The audio quality screams small Liverpool club with seriously poor audio gear. The album should be titled "A Flock of Seagulls: Concert Bootleg, or MIKE SCORE CAN'T SING A NOTE"

Bear in mind you're hearing this from a fan. Background noise, poor audio and terrible mixing are evident. On top of this, this is fairly obviously a recording of an off-night. The live recording of I Ran (on the Listen CD rerelease and on the Transfer Affection single) is far superior and showcases what the band could do when they were "on. " On this CD it's clear they weren't.

Get the studio recordings and keep looking for live material, but skip this one.

Request, rather than review
Greetings, I am a huge fan of 80's music and this song appeared on a compilation album in 1982 in Australia. was called something like. . 1982 out of the blue. . . if you like this song and can find this album/cd then you'll really be rockin'.

My question is, does any one know how we can get our hands on it?

All feedback is appreciated. . you can email me at james@diskman. net if you can help out!

rock on!
James.

I was looking for a tasty treat and this is a tasty treat!!!!!!!
We did each others hair up to look just like Mike Score's, but Paul Reynolds (the genius Flock guitarist/dancer) would laugh at us if he saw how we permanently messed our hair up. My buddy and I, LeCreme Collin, listened to this live album 5 times in one evening while watching the movie Spaceship 2 (Flight From Oakview). I just hope I don't get fired from my job. Anyway, this is a great fun live album. Go git it. .

this cd is a flock of seagulls at there best
