A Great Live Performance...but sound quality is rough here
I wanted to complete my collection so I grabbed this live disc. First off,I love this band (LIVE and on record).
While the set list is smoking and the band was definitley "on" the disc has some real issues sound-quality wise.
It falls somewhere between a soundboard copy and a fan recorded bootleg.
But hey, its a "live" live record so grab it anyway, down some creamy pints of stout, crank the volume and decide for yourself. . . or just catch them live (now thats a real 5 star performance!).

The World's Best Live Band
It is not very polished, which gives it a rough and raw sound. This is the only live album from the world's best live band. This is Flogging Molly's first album and features the band's original guitar player Tedd Hutt. It was recorded in a single night at Molly Malone's in L. A. (hence the title).

This album is a must for Flogging Molly fans. If you are not familiar with Flogging Molly though, you should probably start with one of their studio albums like Drunken Lullabies. Once you fall in love come, go to one of their live shows and then come back and get this album. The version of Swagger here is awesome (as is everything else), and the version of Black Friday Rule is still the same as the version they play at all of their shows.

It was ok...
Ya know. . it was pretty good. The only thing is that they recorded it in a bar so the sound isn't really top notch. . . however, it gives you a good feel for the true spirit of the band.

Awesome
They are a great band and really cool people and this album lets you get a glimpse into how they interact with each other and their fans. If you are a Flogging Molly fan, YOU MUST OWN THIS! BUY IT NOW! You won't regret it. "Delilah" & "Laura" alone are definately worth the cost of this cd. If you get the chance, SEE THEM LIVE!!!! .

Alive behind plenty of booze
The sound isn't muddy, and everything seems to come over okay. As far as live albums in general go, this is a good solid one.

As for the band, this merely proves how much they really do rock. Playing at a small club in LA shows off their pure unadulterated intensity. You can hear the banter and there are a couple good different versions of songs that you'll love.

Great offering. A must have for FM fans.
