First Album but not the least!
It has been a long time since I listened to the entire album "Home Free", and I was reminded of what a magnificent piece of work that it is. I recently ordered a copy of the CD "Home Free" when I ordered Dan's new CD "Love in Time". It is truly some of Dan's best work if not the best album that he ever produced.

I noticed something unique in listening to Dan's first album and sadly his last album. The first note on the song "To the Morning" (Home Free) is a full orchestra beginning chord. The last note of the song "Birds" (Love in Time) is the same full orchestra chord. MAKES YOU THINK! Fantastic!.

A great album....
I went out and bought it and listened to it incessantly. A good friend introduced me to Dan Fogelberg's music by way of this album back in 1974 knowing that I was appreciative of good singer-songwriters, and this one hit the mark squarely. I also took the time to learn several of the songs on guitar and I still play those songs to this day. Standouts for me include "Stars", "More Than Ever","Anyway, I Love You", "Wysteria", "Hickory Grove" and "The River". Along with the wonderful album "Souvenirs" I think this is Fogelberg at his best. Highly recommended.


Homefree Dan's first album
This is Dan Fogelberg's first album, one of his best & a must have for any hardcore Dan Fan.


WRONG CD....CD IS NOT AS DESCRIBED!!
BEWARE BUYERS. . THIS IS NOT THE JAPANESE PRESSING issue. CD below described as. . . "Limited Edition Japanese pressing of this album comes housed in a miniature LP sleeve. 2007. - (This text refers to the Audio CD edition)". I ordered this CD above and Amazon sent me a different Plain Jane version. The same Loss Leader/Nice price Catalog Cut-Out CBS has been hawking for years in the standard Jewel Case. Amazon has goofed up and sent me the standard CD and Not the JAPANESE PRESSING as promised.
