Great Remastering Work Dan's music is timeless and this is by far his greatest work - every song literally bleeds from his heart. I recently purchased the 'Remastered' version and it sounds just as fresh as it did over twenty-two years ago. I saw him live that summer of 1987 when Exiles was released (I still have the LP in my collection) and listening to this CD brings back lots of good memories from a summer so long ago. I highly recommend this disc for your collection as it does not disappoint.
Exiles
I love the extra song included on the CD. I had this album and loved it so I wanted the CD.
Fantastic
The power and emotion emitted in these songs are incredible. This is by far one of Dan's best. It's horrible to think that he had to go through all the pain and loss of love, but we, his fans, benefited tremendously. The songs touch the heart and last forever. .
Exiled in Love
He and his wife Maggie had split after many years of being together. This was the divorce album for Dan Fogelberg. As he had done so well for years, he put his heart out on his sleeve and this is what happened. Every song shows that emotion. Those who have gone through a break up in a relationship can relate to these songs. This album again, shows how diverse Dan was in his music. Lonely in Love is one of the best. Hearts in Decline is just beautiful. .
Exiles rocks
The driving beats of the music were very angry, just as I was. I bought my first copy of Exiles when I was going through a divorce. It really helped me to get in touch with my feelings. That was many years ago, and I still love the music. Dan's music is timeless.
