Hauntingly Beautiful Especially love "Sometimes a Song". The album is wonderful and you won't regret the purchase. While we miss him, I know he's making beautiful music with God. .
Dan's Final Goodbye
He knew his death was imminent and gave us one more perfect example of why Dan Fogelberg was THE songwriter of the 20th century . Thanks, Dan, for a beautiful final farewell to your fans! What a treasure to have this collection of songs, especially with the understanding that Dan produced it while battling cancer. . . never a sellout, the consummate storyteller 'til the end!.
Dan Fogelberg - Love in Time
So, there was no "If I buy this" but, "When will it be available?" Dan Fogelberg was perfection to the end. I have every recording available by Dan Fogelberg simply because all of his music is some of the greatest ever written and recorded. To own this recording is owning a great asset in anyone's collection. Thank you, Dan Fogelberg, for enhancing the lives of many with your beautiful gifts.
The Cycle is Complete
Frankly, I wasn't certain what to expect. Even after 50 5-star reviews I still feel compelled to add my own thoughts on this wonderful album. I had heard that his voice was weak at the end and sometimes money overrides artistic considerations. In this case, neither of these is of the least concern; this is Dan at his finest.
Others have provided the track-by-track reviews that this album deserves; I just want to say that I feel it closes the circle on a remarkable career. No artist with a career as long as Dan's and with as much musical variety can hit it out of the park every time. There were albums and songs along the way that I wished I could have just jumped behind the board and remixed a bit. Too much compression and shrill vocals leading to listener fatigue. You will find none of that here. When Dan is in control, as he was for the mixing and production of this album you get classic Dan Fogelberg, tight harmonies, superb instrumental accompaniment and meaningful songs. All are present on this release.
But, mostly this album seems to bring his career back around to the beginning. It sounds much like his earlier work, presented by a much more experienced artist. It really does complete the song cycle that was Dan Fogelberg.

The Great Dan Fogelberg
If you've followed his career as a multi-talented instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, rocker, recording artist, you'd know what a genius he is. Dan Fogelberg has been a musical mentor and hero of mine since day one. This release of new (and some older) songs he was working on before his untimely death attests to his greatness as a self-produced recording artist. I thank his wife Jean for leaving us with these parting songs from such a dedicated and consummate musician. And thank you Dan for a lifetime of musical inspiration.
