Slow Down The Ride
Foghat. . . Doesent seem too ring a bell does it? Bassicly Foghat the band when it comes to mind all you think of is that song Slow Ride which is good but what else is there too the band. I'll tell you what else there is NOTHING. . . Except cheap hit cd's that go for about 5 bucks and never sell because no one wants to waste five bucks on this music. Just another forgotten band that no one has heard of. .


Foghat At It's Best
A rare gem that will show you a great band from the 70's. Extremely good CD.


Good, but one problem...
I bought the album because it was on sale and I like "Slow Ride," especially the part at the end with the gradual accelerando and huge ending. This is a fine compilation album, but I was very disappointed by one thing: The version of "Slow Ride" is SHORTENED! Nowhere on the case does it mention this. That version is NOT the version on this disc.
That's not to say that the whole album bites, but when a band's (arguably) most famous song is truncated, that's not a good sign.
If you're young and have never heard the original long version, then get this album because it's cheap and will give you a good flavor of what Foghat was like. If you're a stickler for "the real thing," keep shopping.


Save your money.
Same problem(short version of Slow Ride) but you get a better scope of songs. With the shortened version of Slow Ride & Drivin Wheel, I'd say save your money & look for the far superior BEST OF volume 1 or the harder to find volume 2 on Rhino.


TAKE IT EASY

Take this album and buy it for the road! . Slow Ride is one of the best songs ever! I wish I got this insted
of 'The Best of Foghat' because it's a smaller sample track list.
