Why I won't touch this one
It was easily my favorite track. Drivin' Wheel is the best song on Night Shift. It was originally longer than the 4:29 version you see most places. I haven't looked it up on my LP but I think the original version is 5:11. I think the 4:29 version was the 45rpm record that played in jukeboxes. I want the original. I am not disappointed that some kid, who probably didn't know the difference, included it on a Remastered release of all things. I am disappointed in the Foghat representative who must have signed off on it. .

Great Album Made Even Better By Remastering
This version rights that wrong. This reissue of Foghat's NIGHT SHIFT, which was a great album to begin with, is made even better by warm, thick remastering and the inclusion of the previously unreleased "New Place To Call Home", which was listed on the original LP jacket but not included. The singing, guitar playing, and rhythm work are all top-notch, and although FOOL FOR THE CITY and LIVE are slightly better, this album still tops most of what's called "rock" today.

One of Foghat's best studio albums.
I have owned this cd since it was released in 1990 on Rhino Records, But have recently bought it again for the previously unreleased tune "New Place To Call Home" if you haven't heard this song, its an outstanding tune similar to the song "Paradise Alley" from the album "Boogie Motel" I highly recommend this cd.

Probably their best....
Start to finish this was a strong effort by Foghat. overall. "Drivin' Wheel", a rockin version of "Take Me To the River" that would do Al Green proud, "Burnin' the Midnight Oil", "I'll Be Standing By" and the title track are all standouts here. I happened to see them in concert in support of this release in late '76 and was very impressed, not only by the band's high energy show but by the songs from this LP. Not a weak tune on it. Should be in the collection of any true Foghat fan.

Foghat Nightshift
All of the tracks Rock, HRNT What a album, Go for it
Hawk. As A rock/roll collector I have over 700 LP's and close to a thousand CD's
and this Foghat Album as it was in the late 70's is killer, Take me to the River is fantastic & blows the B52's or whoever did it by the way side.
