Fourth album, four members It features the hits "Waiting For A Girl Like You", "Urgent", and the Top 40 "Juke Box Hero". This album represents Foreigner at its commercial and artistic peak. "Night Life", "Break It Up" and "Luanne" were minor hit singles. Since the band were down to four members, they are augmented by a few session players-among them Junior Walker who plays the sax in "Urgent" and Thomas Dolby who plays the intro on "Waiting For A Girl Like You". Aside from the bonus tracks-acoustic versions of two of their hits-there's hardly a weak track here.

Foreigner on A&E's PRIVATE SESSIONS this Sunday!
It 's this new music show on A&E every Sunday at 9 am (I know the time sux) but I try to watch it as much as I can! This Sunday, they're re-airing the episode with Foreigner and I can't wait to see it again! They perform 5 songs and are interviewed. Hey Foreigner Fans!
I loved this album and listen to it all the time! Foreigner has such a great sound and I was reminded of that when I saw them on A&E's Private Sessions. .
this album sucks
1) forgeiner sucks, outside of jukebox hero, cold as ice and hot blooded, they arent worth listening to
2)to the scrote who feels the need to talk about this album in about 90% of all the negative reviews for great albums ive read on amazon, this is partly out of spite. i have two reasons to give this review. I hate you, stop posting reviews under mutliple names to bring the average number of stars down.
Solid pop music from a rock band
There were only four band members left, it was their fourth album and it was four (or five?) years since 1977, the year the first, self-titled album came out. Four was Foreigner's high water mark commercially. It is a strong 80's styled pop album with masterful pop tracks like 'Waiting for a girl like you', the occasional straight-ahead rocker like 'Don't let our love go' and the material is generally spot on, catchy, slightly experimental at times, keeping it interesting.
Despite it's strength and popularity, I personally feel that the catchy, slick, synth rock pop sound featured here is typical of it's time, and a whole raft of bands from Air Suppy, Spandeau Ballet and Sueprtramp could have made this music. It's the stuff that other bands can't make that I like to hear from Foreigner.
Overall you get a pleasant listening experience that doesn't need 'getting used to' but grabs you instantly, but doesn't venture into the band's strongest terrirtory.
The reviewer below should take a trip to hell
E. The below 1 star reviewer is a J. R. K. DON'T LISTEN TO THE JERKS WHO RATE OR SLAM THIS ALBUM ONLY 1 STAR. THIS DESERVES 4-5 STARS. I really think Waiting for a Girl Like You is a lovely lovely song and as I call that one of my favorite songs of all time.
