Thin Lizzy gets infinitely heavy
Fu Manchu does it once again. . with their penchant for cover tunes, they've once again made a masterpiece. Jailbreak, originally by Thin Lizzy, has been destroyed and reborn. It reeks of pot and feedback, with a ear-numbing intro and thick sludgy guitars throughout, as well as Bob Balch's fuzzed-out leads; not quite the dual harmony guitars of Lizzy, but it certainly does the song justice. Fu Manchu is quite the unpredictable leader of stoner rock, and certainly one of the most backward-thinking but forward-looking bands in America today. For good 'ole stoner rock, you can't go wrong here.
