Customer Reviews Probably the best single thus far from Beautifulgarbage. Breaking Up the Girl was released as a 3 single CD set, and while all of them are exceptional, this 3rd edition is probably the best of the bunch and most definitely the most original. Breaking Up the Girl is one of the best songs on Beautifulgarbage, so it's only natural that it be released as a single. The acoustic version of Breaking Up the Girl is amazing. It's just as good as the original, and maybe even a little better. It's more sparse than it's original, but the acoustic guitars give the song a little more flavor. And while it sounds as if Shirley's vocals were taken directly from track off the album, it still sounds great. "Confidence" is what Garbage's fans call an "expiremental track. " Yes, this song is different from what Garbage has done before, but it's strangeness makes it all the more enjoyable. Shirley whispers lyrics over a lush, techo-laden soundscape chocked full of drums and guitar. Yes, it's strange, but it's also very good. Cherry Lips (DJEJ's Go-Go Jam) is up next. This remix is just plain fun. I was dissapointed with the earlier remixes of Cherry Lips, they all seemed slow and I wanted to see a upbeat mix to match the lyrcis. Well, needless to say, this one delivers. It's dancey and one of my favorite remixes of any Garbage song. If you're a hardcore Garbage fan, this single was made with you in mind. I would reccomend this single to any Garbage fan interested in collecting b-sides/remixes, but if you're new to Garbage I would reccomend buying another single, as this one contains songs only a true Garbage fan could enjoy. Very Original BREAKING UP THE GIRL(Acoustic):A great track, and even better as an acoustic song CONFIDENCE:An excelent track, the guitar in this one is amazing!! CHERRY LIPS(REMIX):One of the best remixes I've heard in a long time. This single is very diverse and Unique, even though there are only 3 songs, it's one of the best Garbage singles so far. .
