And the beat goes on!

You saw the jump in Michael Jackson's Music after he died, let's support our beloved artists now, and let them know that we still love them and they have a very loyal fan base!!!
The enrichment their songs gave to our lives cannot be forgotten well as the memories, that their music brings us back to a time, when music has a message, and it touched our hearts, souls and our very lives. Many of our great Artists are disappearing, either because no one thinks that they are "marketable" any more" a note to them, we are still here, and we still love and want to buy these artists products. Today's music may do the same, but most of it (Hey, my opinion counts!) Sucks!
What we take in through our eyes, and ears not only touches our souls but shapes our hearts and our view of the world and it's people.
And classics are never out dated or out of style.
They stand the test of time.
Buy your favorite artist now, and not only let them know that we haven't forgotten them. but are still willing to by their art. And by doing so, you support them, still while they are here among us.

Finally, a new genre for a great voice
My "AG" collection only included vinyl records, until this CD, that's how long it has been since I had any interest in him. I was never a great Simon and Garfunkel fan, but I really liked the material Art did solo. This new CD captures the essence of his melodious voice in a genre (jazz ballads) that has been overlooked for decades. Art's recent sold-out show in Maryland proves that I am slow on the uptake. Do yourself a favor, buy this CD.

Exquisite!
. Smooth, lovely, romantic, touching, timeless . . there are not enough words to describe this CD. To me a great CD not only entertains me, but moves me to a different time and space. This CD transcends my mood from the start. It's hard to pick a favorite, but 'I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face' is right up there. .

Exquisite
I play it in the car and at home. By now I think we are all highly suspicious of single-star reviews among the five-star!

Normally I tire of ANY CD after playing it for a month, but I haven't yet tired of this after three months. The album works beautifully as a cohesive whole, where all songs, old and new, meld together to form of lovely, laid-back-mood-inducing soundtrack for your calmer moments, or those you're attempting to make so.

Do not hesitate to buy this great set of songs. For my money, the best Garfunkel set since the "Breakaway' album thirty years ago.

Uh oh
One of the loveliest, soaring, angelic voices of our times had, probably because of age, lost its amazing range and authority. When Art Garfunkel came out to sing when Paul Simon was honored recently at the Warner Theater in Washington, he didn't have it anymore. He battled bravely, halting, croaking, through Bridge Over Troubled Water, but it was unnerving to watch after the wonder of the Old Friends tour. This new album, I'm also sad to say, is dreck. If this cornerstone artist's name was not on it, who, exactly would be buying this? His "Easy Living" and "Life is But a Dream" are both bathed in some of the most painfully banal and atrociously processed production I have heard in ages. It is maudlin and it is awful. Garfunkel never engages the listener, but rather sends out an aural Quaalude. I know what it's like to be a fan with such deep connection to an artist, that you all but must forgive even their worst. This is likely his worst and I see no recovery in sight. But Art Garfunkel could make ten more bad albums and it wouldn't matter. His place in history and hearts and record collections is secure for a long, long time. If you buy this, don't expect to find it in heavy rotation. File and forget. .
