Customer Reviews A DISASTEROUS SOUND FIASCO!!!! all around me women were screaming everywhere. i saw mavin gaye live in concert at reunion arena in 1983 when he came 2 dallas. marvin gave a good show. he dedicated part of the show 2 the beautiful tammi terrell-of which there were beautiful photographic images of tammi alone and marvin and tammi 2gether. and 2 my surprise and astonishment they played parts of his classic but ignored 'in our lifetime' album from 1981 before marvin came onstage. also at this concert,i bought a rare autographed poster print of marvin from this 1983 tour. of course marvin did segments from his past albums and material from his then current'midnightlove'album. but when i purchased this cd in 1991-the sound quality is just a disasterous fiasco!!!who in the hell recorded this show?????simply put, the sound quality on this cd is a travesty and a recorded joke!!i give this a 2 star rating only because it's marvin gaye and his band. the only value of this disc was that this was marvin's last concert tour. otherwise,this is a poorly recorded sound with distortion with disasterous results!!!!THIS IS A FIASCO!!! . INJUSTICE How could a record company release anything like this from one of the greatest singers of all time is beyond me . Marvin must be turning over in his grave after this one . . The sound quality is horrible sound like some one took a portable tape recorder to these concerts and taped it . . For better live albums from him pick up Live at the London Palladium or Marvin Gaye Live . Poor Recording it was very poorly recorded. I couldn't get the full vibe of the disc. it's more like a bootleg disc than a real Professional sounding one. I'm a Big Marvin Gaye Fan,The Man was one of the Greatest Teachers of Music. he deserves to be Treated as such not a Poor Recording like this. I'll just bump Live at the London Palladium. skip this one. the 2 is because of a hearing his voice. the rest is a zero. .
