Customer Reviews Classic Crystal for True Fans The album is soothing and enjoyable, especially "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" and "When I Dream". Though not the original recordings that became radio hits, Crystal's brand new covers of many of her biggest hits are very well done here. Recorded in Branson Mo. Nice song choices from a superstar But some of the keys Crystal chose to sing these songs in reveal a bit of strain to her. The songs are enjoyable, the accompaniment is wonderful. Naturally all voices deepen as they age, but there should have been a bit more thought given to this area. I have been a pure Crystal Gayle fan since the beginning of her career, so it was a bit disheartening to hear some of the efforts which do not come as easily for her at this stage. Otherwise, the song choices are good ones. Best collection of her work Musicians backing her are so good that these familiar songs get new life. Newly recorded for this CD, Gayle is in better voice than ever. She also sings "Always" and "For the Good Times" If you only have one CD by Crystal Gayle, this is the one to own. END. .
