Customer Reviews One of her finest moments The lead single, "Oh, What a Life" is the lead single from this album. "The Answer" is Gloria second album of original songs for the 2000's and it's as if she never left, she didn't. It is a lively Hi-NRG stompper ripe with lyrically intelligent lyrics and gorgeous vocals! It hit #1 on the Euro NRG Top 40 chart. It also would have been a splendid radio single if Rhythmic format radio stations have thought to pick it up and put in rotation! The follow up singles, "Rippin' It Up", "Perfect World" and "Set Me Free" are equally as great overall! All four singles are featured in original and remix versions on this album. The album features a few beautifully done Soul ballads such as "It's My Time" which is quite an uplifting song, the polished "In All Ways a Woman, the mid-tempo Urban contemporary song, "You. " The title track, "You Are The Answer," has a cool sound being half Urban & have sleek Dance-Pop. They combine to create an intriuging Soul/Dance sound seldom heard since CeCe Peniston smash hit, "Keep On Walking. " The Gospel-House song, "Most High" is one of the best songs of its kind being both inspiring & very catchy. Overall, a well rounded album ripe with engery, optimisim and wisdom you would be glad to your music collection! Highly Recommeded. HOT...but not gloria's best. i must say it is good. ok, so i just got the cd. not better than "I WISH YOU LOVE," wich i believe to be glorias best album ever. since logic records closed it's doors in 2003, cutting of many groups/artist from recording deals (Gloria Gaynor, LA BOUCHE ect. . . ) gloria went with personal records, & Jason nevins record lable "radikal records. " someof the songs have a good dance vibe to them, the rest of the tracks have a classic/new disco sound to them. fans of gloria's older tracks may really enjoy this cd. it also contains 4 bonus remixes, which are very good. my fav is the Berman Brothers remix of rippin' it up. this is a good cd,definatly woth the money, but in addition get i wish you love too. it is an awsome album. i do believe that is login records were still open glorias album would have been much better if she worked with the same producers as the last album. check it out, its different but good. . .
