Customer Review Good Disc, But Their Better Days Were Already Behind Them This disc is best known for containing the band's highest-charting single (in Canada, anyway) called, coincidentally enough, "Pretty Bad Boys". Ex-Fludd bassist Greg Godovitz's power trio follow up the classic "An Act Of Goddo" with this rather tepid release. By this time the band was running on a mixture of drugs, sex, egos, were leaking money faster than Enron, and it shows in the writing. Greg Godovitz seems to turn away from the intense, gritty rock'n'roll that fans of the band had come to love, and it sounds like there was a concerted effort made to make this album sound more "pop" (read: commercial) than the last three had been. This was the disc that was supposed to get the group noticed in the States, but it was a commercial disappointment and it became obvious that the band had already peaked. All that aside, this album still has its high points. "Feelin Strange Today" has a great groove, and the title track has a hook that still has it in rotation on Canadian radio stations to this day. "Let's Talk It Over" proves that Godovitz's biggest influence was the Beatles, as the pop hook and three-part harmonies soon attest to. . .
