Trip pop
. Although the grimy plasticity which makes up the vast majority of a production aesthetic here is a far cry from the smoothed-out trip hop that brought the name to fame, one cannot deny the effort put into detailing shallow sparkles.


Electric and sensual!!!!
For me that I didn't know Goldfrapp it was very surprise!!! This songs are a mix of electric and particular sounds with a sensual voice!!! I'd like all songs, especially "Black Cherry" and "Twist"!!!.


Black Cherry
I first discovered Golfrapp through television. BLACK CHERRY is one of those rare albums where I initially didn't care for it but later on in life loves it. FELT MOUNTAIN is one of my personal favorite trip hop albums of all time. I loved the lush, orchestral melodies of the album. So when the time came for Goldfrapp to release their follow up album BLACK CHERRY, I wasn't too keen on the group's sudden change in their sound from trip hop to electro-clash.

After falling in love with the group's music again with SEVENTH TREE, I decided to check out BLACK CHERRY again. This time time around I have learned to appreciate and love BLACK CHERRY. BC is definitely a precursor to their next album SUPERNATURE with their mix of catchy electro-pop songs as well as SEVENTH TREE with the more laid back trip hop songs. I am particularly fond of the more upbeat tracks like "Train" and "Twist". I love the slinky synth beats. As much as I like the slower paced songs on the album like the title track, the more uptempo tracks are my personal favorite. Overall I am glad that I re-discovered BLACK CHERRY. If you loved SUPERNATURE, you will definitely like BLACK CHERRY.


Enhanced
After a few years in the shadows as a guest vocalist for the likes of Orbital and Tricky, Alison Goldfrapp (aided by collaborator Will Gregory) emerged to remedy that shortage with a cocktail of ripe carnality and sinister beauty. There is plenty of sex in pop, but precious little sensuality. The duo's albums, Felt Mountain and Black Cherry, are exotic middle-European fantasias co-scripted by Christopher Isherwood and Hans Christian Andersen: music for black forests and red light districts. ENHANCED. Added to your discotheque!.
