Melt
Ive been hooked ever since it is rare that you see artist with a positive message that stand aside from all the other mainstream music out there. I first heard Delta Goodrem at a friends funeral years ago, he loved her because of her struggle and the fact that she had positive music.

Definately Delta!
Delta's beautiful vocals and powerful lyrics are great. Even if this isn't my favorite of her albums it's still a strong release. I would recommend this album.

Raw and Vulnerable
It's not surprising, then, that the majority of the tracks off her sophomore record are about dealing with a deadly disease. In the midst of the hype surrounding her debut album, Aussie singer Delta Goodrem found out that she had cancer. With one foot in her early years and a lyrical glimpse at her future recordings, "Mistaken Identity" truly straddles two worlds - innocent child and mature adult.

Delta Goodrem became well-known for a variety of reasons: one is surely her voice, which often draws comparisons to that of Celine Dion. The second is her piano playing. Like her debut, "Innocent Eyes", this album is full of the piano, from simple ballads to sweeping orchestral-like arrangements. 'The Analyst', in particular, features an unforgettable piano accompaniment.

Like everyone else, I have some favorite tracks from the record. 'Be Strong' is a gentle look at life's tough times, while the title track is a jazzy nod to the changes in life that we don't ask for. 'Electric Storm' clearly details the difficulties that can accompany love, and 'A Little Too Late' describes the frustration that a teenager who has been through more than most feels at the way the world insists on treating her like a child.

Overall, the common thread weaving through the album is undoubtedly the disease that plagued Delta in the years before it was released. The lyrics are raw and vulnerable, nearly painful in places. It's rough around the edges, but this only adds to its charm. And, while I prefer both "Innocent Eyes" and "Delta" to this one, "Mistaken Identity" is a unique record filled with emotion.

A Lovely Singing Sheila Indeed
Well, this one is. You always have to wonder about daytime television stars when they decide they're also a singer. All in all an enjoyable array of 14 safe songs that don't challenge her vocal range so it's a little difficult to tell how good she really is. I'd love to see her perform live, she's definitely very easy on the eyes!.

Adult pop
Nothing fast enough that you would imagine a music video w/ choreography, slower songs- understand the comparison to Celine, but this girl is younger and gives the MUSIC a much younger feel. This is easily described as adult pop. Some of the darker songs could be comparable to Tori Amos's sound. I don't understand why we haven't heard of her here. Don't let terrible one-hit wonder natalie imbrulia influence your opinion on Aussie music. For younger listeners I suggest Lucie Silvas, who has a Christina Aguilara vocal range and, which she doesn't use yet to it's advantage.
