Amazing album that has been great to me for many years
I used to listen to it every single day usually more than once it is an awesome and timeless pop album with the love of God shining through. I have been listening to this album since it first came out and I was 10 years old. "Hope Set High" has to be my favorite song of all time " if theres anything good that happens in life its from Jesus" this is great truth she speaks. This album will always be timeless if you have never heard it the entire album is worth the price for "Hope Set High" alone but songs like "Galileo" and "Baby Baby" and "I Will Remember You" will quickly become favorites also! Amazing! Only bad point is the song "Hats" but I usually just skip over it on the cd.

Amy at her best...
Nothing else to say, she's one of the best and this is her at her best.

amy's crossover dream is complete....
i have always liked amy grant's crossover stuff more than her christian stuff. . . but then again, amy grant was never a" typical" christian singer. . . she danced and encouraged dancing at her concerts. . . . her voice was always sensual and she achieved something even madonna couldn't do: she managed to be sexy just by keeping her clothes on . . . amy was the wholesome girl who still managed to be hot, proving that christian women could be sexy. . . . her records were nearly boycotted in 1985, when she revealed in a rolling stone interview that she liked to sunbathe in the nude. . . . her songs on "heart" were pretty tame back in 1991, and would still be vanilla by today's standards. . . . but that doesn't mean they aren't good. . . . in fact, amy has a way with a hook, and she makes very danceable songs. . . . i skipped the radio hits ( baby baby, every heartbeat, good for me, i will remember you and that's what love is for ) not because i didn't like them, but only because i had heard them so much, it would've been redundant to comment . . . the non-radio tracks are cool. . . . ask me is a song about child abuse and is very good. . . galileo is a nice love song, that grant manages to weave in a few historical references, hats was ok. . . i don't know why some people don't like this song. . . hope set high is the only christian song on heart in motion and yet it doesn't feel out of place. . . . every heartbeat was the album's biggest chart hit, peaking at number 3 on the billboard pop chart. . . amy got her number one record by appearing on a duet with peter cetera called the next time i fall in love.

memories coming back
My sisters and I used to blast this music as loud as we could get away with and grab our hair brushes, pretending that we too were famous singers. Listening to this CD brings back memories from my early childhood. I love the sound. That's What Love is For was my favorite out of this bunch and I remember always getting teary eyed when I'd listen to Ask Me. These songs are ingrained in my mind and every once and awhile I find myself humming one of them out of the blue. .

The PERFECT pop album
Amy Grant may not have the Celine dion quality voice. . . but she has so much more on her and other song divas in the world. She's an incredible songwriter and producer and i really love her voice regardless of her limitations.

There is not a single album of hers or anyone elses that i have listened to more than this one. I was 6 when my mom first bought the cassette tape. I recently re-purchased it as a used cd copy. I have no idea why such a successful album by her is out of print but. . . it is. However the audio quality is still poor. it's so quiet. i have to turn up the volume to maximum to be able to hear it as well as any other cd at normal level.

NOw. as i previously stated i've been going around singing these songs for about 16 years and i never tire of their bouncy popppy goodness.

i Mean really, Baby Baby, Good for me, Every heart beat. the album starts out with a 1 2 3 punch of great catchy high energy songs. i can listen to those three for hours.

then there's You're not alone, Galileo which continue on very upbeat and catchy.

then the album gets pretty serious on the very moving and sensitive ASK ME. and HOw can we see that far. she has a gift for dealing with real and painful issues so brazenly and tactfully.

i really think the only song that i still don't love is HATS. however i still know all the freakin words. (you can't just skip forward on a cassette tape. )

then there's the calm and simple closer HOPE SET HIGH. which leads us all back to where she started. even though this album is the her single greatest of her career , regardless of subject matter.
