industry favorites

i love amy grant. a more apt title would have been "industry favorites"

this is the record of how a wonderful young woman became owned by the nashville recording industry and how artistry can slip from music. i grew up listening to amy, christmas would not be christmas without amy, however, i miss the real her.

we all know it is there, and the cover photo almost recaptures her.

i hope she can come back around and leave the plastic image behind that the industry has made her into.

Greatest Hits
The first song on the album The Water is one of her new songs and she seems to have a smokier sound to her voice in it. Amy has done herself proud with this CD. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great! Also included on the CD are songs that she recorded with Vince, House of Love, and Peter Cetera, The Next Time I Fall which sound great.

Amy went all out and included 19 songs on her Greatest Hits, not to mention the bonus CD that has 4 more songs. I remember when Amy's biggest fan base was the Christian music fan, she has come into her own over the years and branched out and we are all luckier for it. Even if you aren't sure who she is, you have heard her on the radio and probably liked the sound, I discovered that. .

Great CD
There are two CDs one with the best songs, and the other one with the edited versions. Here's the best collection from Amy Grant, too bad she does not produce more recent hits. .

Ultimate Amy!
" This bundle is a strong mix of her most popular chart-toppers as well as time-honored CCM classics. Yes, in the tradition of "Ultimate Kylie," this collection leaves no stone unturned! With the addition of new and remixed tracks, this collage should be entitled, "Past Reflections & Future Memories. Absoluletely beautiful in its arrangement and selection from the 18 years highlighted here, it shows Amy's dynamic voice and honest passion on everything she sings!

Although originally featured in "Mr. Wrong," the inclusion of Amy's cover of 10cc's trademark hit "The Things We Do For Love" is a welcome surprise!!
Another welcome surprise is her 1986 Billboard #1 duet with Peter Cetera--an absolute necessity for any Amy fan!

Highlights include "Lead Me On," "Simple Things" and "I Will Remember You"
.

An excellent compilation of Amy Grant's songs
It includes all of the best Amy Grant songs, and then some, even the song "The Next Time I Fall", featuring Peter Cetera. This CD is wonderful. Also includes two new songs, "The Water", and "Come be with me", and a bonus CD with 4 variations of her songs. Well worth the $13 I paid for it. I'd recommend this CD to all Amy Grant fans.
