The BEST GD Ever.....!!!!!!!!! If you want to know what the GD were all about then get it! GET IT NOW!!!!. This IS the Best Grateful Dead Live album ever! I've listened to it thousands of times since 1972 & NEVER tire of it! The boys are really crankin' on this recording.
The best "starter" to The Dead
Its an excellent choice for someone who would love to get into the band. This was my first Grateful Dead album. .
Historical Record
The new remastered version of this is awesome and HDCD. This is a very inspired and Grate Dead recording, Shows what the Dead were like in transition from The old Pig Pen Band to new territories, right here, it is settled in a great groove, after this, it is up to Europe 72, which is my all time favorite release, it got me into the Dead, Right now, the Dead is releasing some of it's best music ever on Rhino Records. Sounds great on my new OPPODigital universal disc player.
Good Old Dead
If you like one, you'll probably like the others. This is the last in the Workingmans Dead, American Beauty, Grateful Dead, trilogy. Some of us were lucky enough to hear it in concert, and remember it. Great stuff. .
Great Grateful Dead CD
The remastering on this version is warm and crisp, giving you the feeling of actually being in the room where it was recorded. SKULL & ROSES is a great CD by the Grateful Dead. This album is just as great as AMERICAN BEAUTY and WORKINGMAN'S DEAD, and features excellent versions of country and blues standards, as well as a rendition of John Phillips' (Mamas & Papas) "Me & My Uncle. " There are also a couple of great originals here, including Bob Weir's "Playing In The Band. " This CD is a must-own for any Deadhead.
