Kerplunkety Plunk! I loved this album, with its raw recordings and "old," sound. A nice album to add to your Green Day collection. And although I liked 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours better, don't let this album pass you by. This album was released, along with 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours to boost their sales but also give GD and Sweet Children fans the old taste and sound of what they used to be. And for anybody stupid enough to actually believe the little story of the girl who killed her parents just to see GD, that was probably made-up. I don't think Green Day would actually put a story that is actually real to boost sales. Sure, I was greatly disturbed by the story myself after reading it, but it is unbelievable in itself. It seemed that Green Day just wrote it for fun, and than decided to slap it into the album cover for a "fun," read for fans. So please, don't make an idiot out of yourself and actually believe that story is real, okay? Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, that's right. . . The tracks of this album were awesome! Even though the recording quality, (which was all recorded over a short period of time at Lookout! Records) wasn't the best in the world but its the thought that this is from those days, before they signed on to that big record (Reprise) and recorded their smash-hit, Dookie. My favorite track of this album would have to be 2000 Light Years Away or Christie Road. I really look forward to whatever the next album after American Idiot Green Day is making. Since this new, up-coming album of theirs will be based upon Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool, and Mike Dirnt facing "middle age," it should be an interesting turn for the band, perhaps they will be converting some of the elements from Nimrod and American Idiot? I just hope that this new album comes out soon. Their second is one of their best! ' It's one of Green Day's finest. I absolutely love 'Kerplunk. Their second record is one of their best records. This was released in 1992 on the Lookout Records label. They would sign to Reprise Records one year later (1993). This album has a string of highlights. The original 'Welcome To Paradise,' 'Sweet Children,' '2000 Light Years Away,' 'My Generation' and the funny 'Dominated Love Slave' are all highlights on one of Green Day's finest. Unfortunately, this record seems to be overlooked. And that's a shame, because it's great to hear the group before they had their success with 1994's 'Dookie. ' So if you like Green Day even a little bit, do check this record out. It's one of my favorites from them, and you'll be satisfied. Highly recommended. ENJOY!!!. Horrifying PLEASE READ It is a disturbing story of a girl who puts her parents on drugs and chops them up with a butcher knife and throws their bones in the trash. There is a story entitled My Adventure With Green Day in the little book. There is lots of swearing, explicit content, and Green Day thought it was cool that the girl killed her parents to meet them. Luckily, this girl is arrested until 2019. The track aren't even that wonderful. [. . . ]. One of Their Best Every song is good. This cd deserves a grammy! One of my favorite cds ever. One for the Razorbacks is a great song. The story in the paper about Laurie L. is awesome. Parents should be warned that the following songs are innaproproate: 2,000 Light Years Away, My Generation, Best Thing in Town, Words I Might Have Ate, and Dominated Love Slave. "Love Slave" is sung by Tre Cool which is a big change. The first 5 songs are the best. (You gotta listen to "Private Ale. ") All in all, this is an excellent compact disc. The Intro of Tre' Great Album - same great sound as 1039 - tre brings so much - and if your a fan - you should already have this.
