Mixed Day Green Day has been one that has hit the mark quite well for awhile with great songs from the well-accepted American Idiot. I sometimes wonder when artists can really make great songs just have one once in awhile that fairs well, but not as good as a earlier song. Their latest single Holiday, the third one from the 2004 American IDiot record, is a very good driven song that fuels Green Day and their moods for good songs. Unfortunately, the song isn't as groundbreaking or heartfelt as the last single, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams was. Still, it is a good rock-driven song for any die hard Green Day fanatic.

Great song, but better off buying the album Avoid listening to these whiners that have nothing better to do with their lives, so they go on the internet and type trash to feel better about their taste in crummy music. This is a great track off of Green Day's album American Idiot. This is a good song, but you can find the album cheap enough and the whole album rules. So if you only like this song buy the single, but if you know you like a lot of Green Day songs the album is a must buy. If you want to find a band to trash talk, go to the Good Charlotte boards, cause they suck hardcore. .
The cover design was done in bad f*cking taste Green Day used to be my favourite band. . until I found all the amazing acts they'd been ripping off. There's nothing intelligent or witty about these guys; they're stoners who still "Do a little Mary Jane every now and again" according to Billie.
I'm sure I hate Bush as much as they do, but at least I can communicate it intelligently instead of releasing a single whose cover features a bomb strapped to my torso. It's much more insulting to the middle-eastern war victims than to the American soldier causalities. I'd like to know what the cover is supposed to communicate, exactly. Is Billie likening himself to a terrorist? If so, then he is, in fact, making himself appear to be the posterboy for anti-americanism (even though he says on the live version of "Holiday" that his songs are not anti-american). Not that have a problem with that. This is America, after all. The picture disc vinyl version features an even more controversial image of Billie, Mike, and Tre from the same photo shoot.

Never mind the idiot above heh
I sometimes runs into pigs that dare compare Blink 182 or Good Charlotte to Green Day but those are too low to even answer too. Holiday is one of the strongest and emotional anti-war song since Metallica's One or For Whom The Bell Tolls, the lyrics of Holiday could have been used to create a much sader video that would make you cry like hell -much like Metallica's One- Green Day are just not the kinda band that invest in people's emotions like that so they just made a funny video for it and gave way to your imagination to i9nterpet symbolism. . well if i have to i would just say you are one hell of a superficial f****t and you are not looking inside anything.
This is our lives on Holiday.
