I love the music. I received the cd in 3 days. Thanks.

Beautiful ..... 100 stars..
I had been listening to alot of rock and roll so at first I
felt this cd was just okay. I am amazed at the strength and at the same time the tenderness inside this
piece of music. I have never been more wrong in my life. This is
a masterpiece and the singer and the songs become one. I was late to the party
on this. . . . . but I would not have wanted to miss this for the world. I have bought
several copies of this and given to friends. I don't think anyone who loves
music should be without this recording, .

Upon further review
I initially chose to write about "1000 Kisses" because I remembered it as my favorite of hers. After having recently bought several CD's by female artisits, at least in part because they were likened to Patty Griffin, I felt compelled to write a review of one of her discs to sing her praise because her voice is beyond compare. I love that CD and gave it 5 stars. Listening to "1000 Kisses" to write a review left me craving for more Patty Griffin and so I turned to "Living with Ghosts," which is another one of my favorites of hers. Well, upon further reveiw, I think that I like "Living with Ghosts" even more than "1000 Kisses," which is to say that I like a lot. On both of these discs her powerful yet hauntingly beautiful voice is brought to the fore by the sparse musical arrangements and extremely personal, heartfelt songs. If you like the singer-songwriter genre, you will love "Living with Ghosts"-get it, and "1000 Kisses" as well. Thanks to WYEP for introducing me to this incredibly talented artist. .

Her Best Album until the newest live one...
I was blown away. I saw Patty at a Strawberries (Remember Strawberries?) company conference in Providence Rhode Island supporting the release of this album. Her live performance is raw and refined at the same time. She has a gift for lyric. I think her best work is when she is alone with her guitar, therefore, my love for this album and her latest live release.

Amazing
It sounds crude and raw and that is the charm of this album. This album was a demo and the label liked it so much that they did no work on it. There is no sense of tinkering or "commercializing" with this album. Whether you agree or disagree with her philosophy/point of view, you will be pulled in by her haunting and piercing singing. This ablum deserves to be in any collection of music.
