I'll just give a brief summary of some of my favourite songs from the album, "Guide To Better Living". Grinspoon are one of the better bands to come out of Australia in the 90s.

"Sickfest" is track four on the album. It's one of my favourite songs. It's one of the earlier Grinspoon songs but it is still, in my mind, one of their best songs.

"DC X 3" is track three on the album. This song was very popular here in Australia, it got a fair amount of airplay. The song has a good riff but it isn't as good in the lyrics department as perhaps some of the other songs on the album are.

Track eight, "Just Ace" is where the style and technique unique to Grinspoon really starts to set in, it's one of the better songs (there are quite a few of those) on the album, in my opinion. Though the song does seem to fall a little short, I feel they could have taken it further.

Track nine, "Repeat" is a great song, and my favourite. . . although I do sense a vague likeness to the song "Rhinoceros" by the Smashing Pumpkins.

The album is very diverse, it's mostly rock but I think it has a slight punk feel to it. Track seven, "Pedestrian" is the best example of punk rock on this album. There's also a few slower songs.

So, to sum things up, this is a great album. . . although it isn't essential. Most people wouldn't be disappointed with this album. There's something here for almost everyone.
